HENDERSON, Nev. - The College of Southern Idaho Baseball team lost to Colorado Northwestern 6-2 Thursday in the Region 18 Tournament but didn't go down without a fight, outhitting the Spartans 12 to eight.
The Golden Eagles jumped on the scoreboard first when
Cole Walters led off the game with a hit and stolen base. He scored on a

CNCC would answer though in the bottom of the first, taking advantage of two hits and three walks to score two runs.
Neither team scored until the Spartans added three in the bottom of the fourth and one in the bottom of the eighth.
The Golden Eagles rallied in the ninth but came up short. With one out,
Trevor Lippard tripled to right field and scored on a
Kody Garvin ground out.
Cody Schmidt singled and

Lippard ended the game 2-for-4. Garvin was 2-for-4 as well.
Bailey Daugio put together a solid middle relief performance for the Eagles, going 3.1 innings and giving up just three hits, no runs with three strikeouts.
