TWIN FALLS - The College of Southern Idaho struggled early on Saturday to find its offense, falling 7-1 to Salt Lake. But the Eagles rebounded to take game two 6-2 and finish the weekend with a split.
The Golden Eagle pitchers were dominant in the win, holding the Bruins to just two hits in game two.
Alex Perron earned the win on the mound, going five innings and giving up just two hits with five strikeouts and one earned run.
Tyler Rosas finished the game, giving up one unearned run on no hits with four strikeouts.
Cole Walters led the offensive attack, going 2-for-3 with two rbi and two stolen bases.
Blake Sanchez was the only other Eagle with multiple hits, finishing 2-for-4.
In game one, CSI managed just two hits by Sanchez and
Mason Hayes. Five Golden Eagle pitchers saw action in the first game.
CSI move to 18-17 overall and 5-15 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
