TWIN FALLS - The College of Southern Idaho Volleyball team won its sixth straight match, beating Western Wyoming CC 25-20, 25-16, 23-25, 25-18 Monday in Rock Springs, Wyo. On Tuesday, the Golden Eagles jumped a spot in the NJCAA National polls to the No. 3 spot as well.
The Golden Eagles weren't as sharp Monday as they have been, but stll managed to take advantage of their many weapons to get past WWCC.
Ashelyn Jones and
Alycia Wodke paced CSI with 10 kills apiece. Wodke added nine digs, while Jones had two blocks. Defensively Jojo Kruize paced the Golden Eagles with 12 digs. She also notched eight kills.
With the win, CSI improves to 17-4 overall. The Golden Eagles, which host Colorado Northwestern Friday at 7 p.m. and USU Eastern Saturday at 1 p.m., are still undefeated an atop the Scenic West Athletic Conference standings.
