TWIN FALLS - The College of Southern Idaho women used a pressure defense to create some easy buckets and beat Colorado Northwestern 85-55 Saturday in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
The Golden Eagles forced 23 turnovers and scored 28 of their points in transition.
Brianna Osorio posted incredible numbers in her 24 minutes. She finished with 16 points, five rebounds, seven assists and nine steals.
CSI scored 44 points in the paint, which helped increase its field goal percentage. for the game, the Golden Eagles shot 52 percent from the field.
Samantha Lubcke ended the game with 16 points and four rebounds.
Ruby Shreeve and
Alexia Mefi, each added 10 points. Mefi also had eight rebounds.
Ariel Augustine came off the bench to score five points and pull down eight rebounds. Another bright spot was guard
Matti Ventling, who posted seven points an eight assists.
The Golden Eagles, now 22-1 overall, go on the road for the next couple weeks.
