TWIN FALLS - The 13th-ranked College of Southern Idaho softball team improved to 6-1 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play with 7-1 and 2-0 wins over Colorado Northwestern Saturday.
In game one,
Shea Ibrahim shouldered the bulk of the offense, going 2-for-3 with four RBI and a home run.
Kayla Carter was 1-for-2 with one RBI.
In the circle,
Kami Merrill went the distance, giving up seven hits and one earned run with five strikeouts.
CSI's pitching continued to shine in game two as
Kelsey Christensen threw a 3-hit shutout with 10 strikeouts.Â
The Golden Eagles managed just five hits but it was enough with Christensen in the circle.
Kayla Carter was 2-for-3 and
Savannah Kirkpatrick was 2-for-3 with two RBI.
CSI travels to Snow College next week.
