TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho baseball team continued to pound the ball, beating Utah State University Club team 8-0 and 16-0 in a doubleheader at Skip Walker Field on Friday.
The Golden Eagles also had dominating performances on the mound.
Zack Draper threw five innings in the game one win, giving up just one hit with nine strikeouts and one walk.
At the plate,
Cody Jenkins went 2-for-2 with three RBI and a home run.
Cole Walters finished the first game 2-for-3.
In game two,
Makay Nelson earned the win, going 4.0 innings while giving up just two hits and striking out seven.
The offense was hot in game two as
Jordan Freese finished 3-for-5 with six RBI.
Dugan Shirer was 3-for-3 with one RBI and three runs scored.
For the day, the five Golden Eagle pitchers gave up not runs on four total hits with 22 strikeouts.
CSI, now 5-1 overall, host Boise State University Club team Saturday at 1 p.m. for a doubleheader. Anyone wearing black and gold will get into the game for free.
