TWIN FALLS - The sixth-ranked College of Southern Idaho men's basketball team used a stifling first-half defense to run away with the 94-44 victory over Colorado Northwestern CC Thursday.
The Golden Eagles held CNCC scoreless until the 7:48 mark of the first half. In fact, the Spartans had more turnovers (11) than points (8) heading into the locker room at the half.
CSI struggled from the field all game but turned the ball over just six times in the entire game.
Uchenna Iroegbu led the Eagle attack with 19 points.
Abdoulaye Harouna and
Ray Kasongo added 14.
In what might be a first for the CSI Gymnasium, CNCC was called for five technical fouls.
The Golden Eagles, which host USU Eastern Saturday at 5 p.m., improve to 26-1 overall.
