TWIN FALLS - The College of Southern Idaho Men's Basketball team did not hit its first field goal until nine minutes into the game Saturday in the Fisher's Tech Invitational, leading to a 74-59 loss to Central Florida.
The Golden Eagles shot 22 percent in the first half, knocking down only six total field goals. CSI fought back in the second half but every time it got close, Central Florida hit a big shot. The Patriots finished the game with eight 3-pointers and converted on 86 percent of their free throws for the game.
CSI was led by
Pape Diatta and
Darryl Gaynor, who each scored 15 points. Diatta added eight rebounds.
Marquis Godfrey scored eight points and pulled down 13 rebounds.
The Golden Eagles, now 9-3, open up their Scenic West Athletic Conference schedule next week on the road.
