TWIN FALLS - The 3rd-ranked College of Southern Idaho was put to the test this weekend and held its ranking, beating #16 Northeastern 25-15, 25-13, 16-25, 29-27; #4 Arizona Western 27-25, 25-17, 25-16; #7 Western Nebraska 25-22, 22-25, 23-25, 25-23, 15-13; and falling to #2 Iowa Western 25-23, 25-23, 25-20.
The Golden Eagles middle blockers shined all weekend.
Jessi Seumalo finished the weekend with 33 kills and just 6 errors, hitting .409 with 23 blocks in the four matches. Teammate
Kendall Brock added 27 kills and 26 blocks.
CSI hosts Treasure Valley CC Tuesday at 6 p.m. and then will host the Starr Corporation Invitational Friday and Saturday. The Golden Eagles will play Hutchinson CC at 1 p.m. and Central Arizona at 7 p.m. Friday. On Saturday, CSI plays Northwest College at 1 p.m. and Casper College at 3 p.m.
