CSI Baseball takes one from league-leading SLCC

TWIN FALLS - The College of Southern Idaho baseball team remained in third place after taking one game off Salt Lake Friday and Saturday. CSI fell to the Bruins 6-4 and 4-2 on Friday, before winning 6-3 in game 1 Saturday and losing the final game 7-1.
On the weekend, AJ Van Meetren went 6-11 at the plate. Teammate Bobby Wright finished 5-11.
Even though the Golden Eagles won just one game, CSI had solid pitching performances from Zack Draper (6.0 IP, 4 ER, 8Ks in a loss); Dillon Dove (5.0 IP, 4 Ks, 0 ER); Mason Hilty (5.0 IP, 3 ER, 9 Ks in a loss); and Isaac Anderson (4.1 IP, 3 ER, 5Ks in a loss).
CSI drops to 17-17 overall and 6-6 in SWAC play. The Golden Eagles travel to Carson City Friday and Saturday to play Western Nevada.
