TWIN FALLS - The 8th-ranked College of Southern Idaho knocked off 9th-ranked Salt Lake CC 80-76 in overtime Saturday to move into first place in the Scenic West Athletic Conference race with one weekend to play.
Elisabet Sagrera came off the bench to spark the Eagles, scoring 16 points and pulling down seven rebounds. Half of CSI's points were scored by the bench.
Patrice Toston added 16 points, four rebounds and five assists for CSI.
CSI had a chance to win in regulation but a pull up jumper by
Holly Blades just missed, sending the game in overtime.
Patrice Toston scored the Golden Eagles final six points to seal the win.
Salt Lake has two games remaining and CSI has one at North Idaho Saturday. If both teams win out, they will share the conference championship. Salt Lake would hold the tie-breaker for the top seed in the Region 18 Tournament by virtue of defeating CSI two out of three times.
