TWIN FALLS - The 18th-ranked College of Southern Idaho women's basketball team defeated Treasure Valley CC 83-48 Thursday in the Fisher's Technology Invitational.
The Golden Eagles used a tenacious defense to force the Chukars into 36 turnovers, scoring 41 points off of turnovers for the game.
Forward
Alexia Mefi set the tone early, taking three charges in the game and leading the Eagles on the boards with seven. She added 13 points, one assists, two blocked shots and three steals.
Teammates
Holly Blades (20 pts),
Denajha Kie (11 pts) and
Samantha Lubcke (16 pts) all scored in double digits. Kie added five assists.
Blades also posted six rebounds, two assists and four steals, whil teammates
Ma Kenzie VanSickle and
McClain Williams combined for 10 assists.
The Golden Eagles improve to 7-3 overall.
