TWIN FALLS - The fourth-ranked College of Southern Idaho earned a spot in the NJCAA National Tournament by beating North Idaho 25-13, 25-17, 25-18 Friday in the semifinals of the Region 18 Tournament.
The Golden Eagles finished the match with 50 kills and just seven errors compared to 30 kills and 20 errors for North Idaho.
With the win, CSI advances to the championship match Saturday at 1 p.m. against Salt Lake CC. The outcome will determine seeding at the national tournament.
Natasa Savovic dominated, finishing the match with 15 kills and 13 digs.
Pati Anae added 11 kills and four blocks.
Katarina Kojic had 42 assists and
Lepeka Kalulu-Sugai finished with 18 digs.
CSI improves to 31-2 overall.
