TWIN FALLS - The 7th-ranked College of Southern Idaho women's basketball team got back on track Friday in the Wright PT/ICCU Challenge Friday by beating Miles CC 81-71.
The Golden Eagles, coming off three straight losses on the road, knocked down 10 3-pointers and shot 46 percent from the field to improve to 4-3 on the season.
Leading the way for CSI was sophomore Elisabet Lopez-Sagrera. She finished the game with 18 points, 16 rebounds, five assists and three steals. Freshman
Ma Kenzie VanSickle sparked the Eagles in the second half, hitting three 3-pointers early to add to her final 14-point tally.
Other CSI players in double-digits included
Holly Blades with 10 points and
Denajha Kie with 16 points. Blades added seven rebounds, three assists and three steals.
The Golden Eagles will play Lake Region Saturday at 5:30 p.m. Lake Region beat Treasure Valley 68-65 in the opening game of the tournament Friday.
