CASPER, Wyo. - It wasn't the trophy they had their sights set on at the NJCAA National Championships, but the College of Southern Idaho fought through the disappointment of not being in the title match to defeat Northwest College 25-15, 21-25, 25-16, 29-27 Saturday for third place.
The Golden Eagles were dominating at times in the first and third sets and became complacent in the second and fourth.
Natasa Savovic did what she's done all year and led the Golden Eagles with 17 kills and 14 digs. The CSI block was huge all night.
Jessi Seumalo finished with nine,
Pati Anae had eight and
Kendall Brock added five. Anae also added 12 digs and four kills.
Lepeka Kalulu-Sugai posted 17 digs and
