TWIN FALLS - The seventh-ranked College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball beat Athleticz Allianz 81-71 Friday in the opening night of the Coca Cola Classic.
The Golden Eagles were able to overcome cold shooting early to wear down the all-star team from Nellis Air Force in Las Vegas.
Samantha Lubcke scored 22 points to lead CSI, adding seven rebounds.
Elisabet Lopez Sagrera and
Holly Blades each posted double-doubles for the Golden Eagles. Sagrera had 13 points, 13 rebounds, while Blades finished with 14 points, 10 rebounds and four assists.
CSI, which is 2-0 overall, will play Sheridan Saturday at 7:30 p.m. The Generals beat Salt Lake CC 71-69 on a 3-pointer at the buzzer.
The Bruins will play Athleticz Allianz at 5:30 p.m.
