TWIN FALLS - The third-ranked College of Southern Idaho volleyball team came out slow Monday in a non-conference battle with eighth-ranked Western Wyoming but got rolling and beat the Mustangs 16-25, 25-17, 25-10, 25-23.
The Golden Eagles hit just .029 in the first set and managed only eight kills and 1 block.
But
Jessi Seumalo came alive in the second set posting six kills and six blocks herself. The team followed suit in game three, posting 15 kills with no errors and five blocks.
Chloe Watson led the Eagles with 15 kills, 10 digs and six blocks. Seumalo added a double-double with 11 kills and 11 blocks.
Lepeka Kalulu-Sugai finished the match with 20 digs and
Katarina Kojic had 39 assists and 14 digs.
CSI, now 28-2 overall, hosts Blue Mountain Tuesday at 6 p.m.
