TWIN FALLS - The 17th-ranked College of Southern Idaho women's basketball team beat 4th-ranked North Idaho College 64-53 in its final regular season game, clinching the the No. 1 seed at the region tournament next week and a share of the Scenic West Athletic Conference title.
CSI finished the regular season with the same record as North Idaho but because the Golden Eagles beat the Cardinals two out of three times, CSI will enter the tournament as the top seed, while NIC will be the no. 2 seed.
The Golden Eagles knocked down 81 percent of their free throws and out-rebounded North Idaho 42-30 to beat the Cardinals for the second time this season.
Patrice Toston scored 22 points to go with five rebounds, two assists and three steals.
Julia Dufurrena added 10 points, 14 rebounds, two assists and three steals.
Point guard
Adriana Dent's performance though is what made CSI go. She scored 10 points and had five rebounds, three assists and three steals.
CSI will play the winner of Snow and USU-Eastern next Friday in Coeur d'Alene at the Region 18 Tournament.
