TWIN FALLS - Adriana Dent scored on a layup with 16 seconds to play in overtime and the Golden Eagles held on to beat 16th-ranked Salt Lake 69-68 Thursday in overtime.
The win gives CSI sole possession of second place in the Scenic West Athletic Conference race.
CSI took a 3-point lead with six second to play in regulation but a 3-pointer at the buzzer by Diamond Marchand sent the game into overtime.
The Golden Eagles has a chance to take another 3-point lead with six seconds to go in overtime but missed both free throws and Salt Lake had a chance to win at the buzzer but missed its layup, giving CSI its second win over Salt Lake this season.
Dent led the Eagles with 13 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and six steals. Julia Dufurrena added 12 points, eight rebounds, two assists and one steal.
CSI improves to 6-2 in league play, while Salt drops to 4-3. The Golden Eagles host Snow Saturday at 3 p.m.
