CSI battles to 5-set win over Salt Lake CC

TWIN FALLS - The 4th-ranked College of Southern Idaho volleyball team fought back from a 2-game deficit to defeat 7th-ranked Salt Lake CC 23-25, 19-25, 25-18, 25-15, 15-13 Saturday in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
Keani Passi led the Eagles with 18 kills and 13 digs, while teammate Liene Mellupe added 14 and 12 digs.
Braiden Johnston was key in the comeback, coming in the last three games and finishing with 14 digs.
The Golden Eagles improve to 17-1 overall and 2-0 in conference play. CSI hosts No. 1 ranked North Idaho Friday at 7 p.m.
