SALT LAKE CITY - The College of Southern Idaho softball team continued its streak of playing in every Region 18 Championship game but fell to No. 1 ranked Salt Lake CC 10-4 in the final.
The Golden Eagles beat Snow in the morning game 4-3 to advance to the championship and took a 4-0 leading going into the fourth inning against Salt Lake but the Bruins responded in the bottom of the fourth taking a 6-4 lead and never trailed again.
Tyler Wilkinson led the Eagles at the plate against SLCC, going 2-for-4 with one RBI.
Patti Ferguson added a two-run homer as well.
Lea Hopson,
Kylee Hogue,
Averie Schroeder and
Gabby Stacey had the other four hits for CSI.
Grace Combs, Wilkinson and
Alyana Watson were named to the Region 18 all-tournament team for their play.
The Golden Eagles end the season with a 45-18 overall record.
