CSI Baseball earns split in Nevada

HENDERSON, Nev. - The College of Southern Idaho baseball team kept its hold on third place in the Scenic West Athletic Conference race by splitting with College of Southern Nevada Friday and Saturday.
The Golden Eagles won game one 6-3 and game four 10-6, falling 12-11 and 4-3 in games two and three.
Southern Nevada remains in fourth place. Both teams trail Salt Lake CC and Western Nevada.
Tyler Dunnington and Chase Harris had solid weekends at the plate. Dunnington went 6-for-12 with 2 RBI and 6 runs scored. Harris was 8-for-17 with two home runs and 12 RBI.
Tyler Stanford and Andrew Freter earned both wins for CSI on the mound. Eric Holdren was again solid, pitching 5.2 innings and giving up just one earned run.
CSI moves to 27-15 overall and 16-10 in league play. The Golden Eagles travel to Salt Lake Friday and Saturday.
