TWIN FALLS - The Golden Eagle softball team finished the weekend 3-1 against North Idaho College to remain in second place in the Scenic West Athletic Conference race.
CSI opened up the series hot, run-rulling the Cardinals 13-5 and taking a 8-1 lead in game 2 before falling 9-8 and then gutting out 2-1 and -4-1 wins.
Nikki Brailsford had a big weekend for CSI, hitting .556 with three home runs and eight RBI.
Jessi Duncan earned two wins on the weekend for the Eagles, while
Grace Combs gave up just one run in seven innings with five strikeouts for the other win.
CSI, improves to 21-10 overall and 13-5 in league play. The Golden Eagles have a bye weekend before traveling to Western Nevada March 16-17.
