Golden Eagle women earn a split on the road

PRICE, Utah - The College of Southern Idaho women's basketball team beat Colorado NW 57-35 Friday before falling to USU Eastern 62-50 Saturday in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
After playing the Spartans even through the first half, the Golden Eagles used a stifling defense to hold CNCC to just 13 second-half points and 13% field goal percentage.
Offensively, Kylee Schierman led CSI with 15 points. Tayllor Gipson added a double-double (13 points, 10 rebounds).
Against USU Eastern, CSI couldn't shut down the nation's leading scorer Priscila Santos. Santos ended the game with 29 points and eight rebounds.
CSI moves to 10-10 overall and 2-3 in conference play.
