TWIN FALLS - The College of Southern Idaho volleyball team took just a little more than an hour to beat Casper College 25-17, 25-22, 25-13 Saturday in the Buffalo Wild Wings/Hilex Poly Invitational and fell to Carroll College 25-20, 25-18, 25-15.
Against Casper, the Golden Eagles were led by
Keani Passi's 15 kills.
Liene Mellupe added 12 kills with just one error.
Taylor Wilkinson was tough at the net all match. The sophomore finished the match with eights kills and four blocks.
The Golden Eagles never seemed to get in any rhythm against Carroll being called for six net violations and four out of rotation violations.
Mellupe was the most effective for CSI, putting down nine kills.
Heather Meeuwsen finished the match with 16 digs.
CSI, 3-1, travels to Salt Lake next week for a non-conference tournament.
