TWIN FALLS - The 5th-ranked College of Southern Idaho volleyball team overcame opening set jitters to defeat 24th-ranked Snow College 20-25, 25-18, 25-20, 25-18 Friday in the opening match of the Buffalo Wild Wings/Hilex Poly Invitational and then added a win over Northwest College 25-22, 23-25, 25-22, 25-18 late.
Against Snow
Keani Passi led the Golden Eagles with 16 kills, seven digs and three blocks.
Sierra Hansen had 31 assists for CSI, while
Heather Meeuwsen led the team in digs with 13.
The Golden Eagles played 13 players again Northwest. Still Passi led CSI with 12 kills and 16 digs.
Ashia Joseph added 5 kills, 19 assists, four digs and two blocks.
For the day,
Taylor Wilkinson dominated at the net. She posted 9 blocks, seven coming in the nightcap.
CSI, 2-0 on the season, plays Casper College at 1 p.m. and Carroll College at 5 p.m. Saturday.
