TWIN FALLS - The College of Southern Idaho baseball team maintained its hold on third place in the Scenic West Athletic Conference race with four wins over Colorado Northwestern. The Golden Eagles beat the Spartans 4-3, 7-2, 4-0 and 4-2 for the weekend sweep.
The Golden Eagles stand at 12-8 in league play behind first-place Salt Lake (18-2) and second-place Western Nevada (17-3). Southern Nevada holds down fourth at 9-11.
Chase Harris and
Ben Douglas continued to have solid outings at the plate. Harris finished the weekend 5-for-10 and Douglas went 4-for-11 with a home run.
CSI, 20-12 overall, hosts College of Eastern Utah Friday and Saturday in the third of the Golden Eagles five-week homestand.
