SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - The College of Southern Idaho lost to Snow College Friday night 63-62 and then bounced back to defeat Salt Lake 79-75 Saturday on the road in Scenic West Athletic Conference action.
CSI held a 3-point lead with less than a minute to play but four straight free throws by Snow's Brandon Vega - the last two coming with .05 showing on the clock - sealed the game for the Badgers.
Pierre Jackson led the golden Eagles with 18 points.
Against Salt Lake CC,
Jerrold Brooks knocked down six 3-pointers en route to a 22-point performance to lead CSI. He added six rebounds and four assists.
Kenny Buckner also had a great night finishing with a double-double (12 point/13 rebounds).
The Golden Eagles move to 23-4 overall and 9-3 in the conference play. CSI, which stands in first place by 1/2 a game, hosts North Idaho Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
