COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho - The 8th-ranked College of Southern Idaho men's basketball team beat 13th-ranked North Idaho College on the Cardinals home court Saturday 86-73.
Darius Smith led the Golden Eagles, scoring 20 points. The sophomore transfer from University of Connecticut knocked down 10-of-11 shots from the free-throw line to hold off a North Idaho run in the second half.

Pierre Jackson added 17 points and five rebounds.
The Golden Eagles held North Idaho's leading scorer to just six field goals for the game. Michael Hale III ended the game with 17 points (four from the free-throw line).
The win keeps CSI in first place in the Scenic West Athletic Conference race and two games ahead of second-place College of Eastern Utah.
The Golden Eagles improve to 21-2 overall and 7-1 in league play.
