Former CSI MBB player dead at 38

TWIN FALLS, Idaho - Former College of Southern Idaho men's basketball player Mantia Callender died Nov. 23 from a brain aneurysm. Callender was 38 at the time of his death.
Callender, who played for the Golden Eagles from 1994 to 1996, was currently living in Wilder. A coach at Greenleaf Friends Academy, Callender played for Steve Irons during his time at CSI coming to the United States from London, England.
From CSI, he transferred to Middle Tennessee State, playing there from 1996-1998.
Callender leaves behind his wife Rebecca and their two daughters ages 11 and five.
Services will be held at the Greenleaf Friends Academy Gym Friday, Dec. 2 at 11 a.m.
The CSI Foundation has set up an account for those wishing to donate. All money given will go towards a fund set up for Mantia's two daughters college education. Please make checks out to the CSI Foundation but make note on the check that the money goes towards the Mantia Callender Fund.
Checks can be brought to the main CSI Athletic Office and given to Ginger or Joel or mailed to The CSI Foundation, 315 Falls Ave., Twin Falls, ID 83301.
