Pat Swilling scored 37 and
Rafriel Guthrie added 30 points to lead the Golden Eagle men's basketball team past Chemeketa CC Saturday in the final night of the 35th K&T Steel Tournament.
Swilling added six rebounds, three assists and four steals en route to MVP honors. Guthrie finished with a double-double, pulling down 16 rebounds. He also was named to the all-tournament team.
The Golden Eagles shot well all night, knocking down 50 percent of their shots from the field.
Gavin Kauffman led Chemeketa with 27 points and eight rebounds.
Earning all-tournament honors in addition to Guthrie and Swilling were Treasure Valley's Creed Flowers, Chemeketa's Calvin Molan and Western Wyoming's Sam Wunderli and DJ Stennis.
The 1976 NJCAA National Championship CSI men's basketball team was honored at halftime to make it a special night.
CSI, which improved to 4-1 on the season, hosts Miles CC Friday and Taag Academy Saturday in the Boise Office Equipment Invitational.
