PRICE, Utah - The College of Southern Idaho beat Eastern Utah 8-3, 8-1, 10-1 and 2-1 Friday and Saturday to finish the regular season on an 8-game winning streak.
The Golden Eagles pitching continued to be a strength. CSI pitchers gave up just 6 runs in four games with a 1.50 ERA.
At the plate,
Kyle Beverley went 6 for 13 with three RBI, three doubles and one home run.
Ryan Lay finished with three stolen bases to pull within one of the CSI season record of 36 held by Erroll Shirer.
The Golden Eagles secured the fourth seed heading into next week's Region 18 Tournament in Henderson, Nev. CSI opens the tournament with fifth-seeded Eastern Utah Wednesday at 5 p.m. MST.
