TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho baseball pitching staff dominated Colorado NW Friday and Saturday in Scenic West Athletic Conference action, beating the Spartans 10-0 and 12-0 on Friday and 7-0 and 4-0 on Saturday.
Highlighting the weekend was a no-hitter thrown by Michael Renner in game two. The other CSI pitchers also had a great weekend, giving up just 14 hits over the other three games.
At the plate,
Ryan Lay led the Eagles going 8-for-12 over the 4-game series. He also had six stolen bases to take his season total to 32.
The Golden Eagles improve to 31-20 overall and 20-15 in league play. They travel to College of Eastern Utah for a doubleheader Friday at 1 p.m. and Saturday at noon. CSI will open the Region 18 Tournament in Henderson, Nev. May 12th at 4 p.m. (5 p.m. MST) against College of Eastern Utah.
