COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho softball team did not play its best softball this weekend but found a way to win 3-of-4 games at North Idaho College, beating the Cardinals 5-2 on Friday before losing 6-2 and then sweeping the Cardinals 4-2 and 8-7 on Saturday.

Gonzales deposited the ball over the outfield fence for a grandslam to tie the game.
Both teams battled through eight with no score before Gonzales led off the ninth with a single. a pop-up bunt to the pitcher doubled off Gonzales and it seemed again the Golden Eagles would leave the ninth without a run. With two out

Generra Nielson, who entered the game in the circle in the 8th inning, shut down the Cardinals with a ground out and two strikeouts to earn her third win of the weekend.
The 13th-ranked Eagles improve to 39-16 overall and 28-11 in SWAC play. CSI hosts Treasure Valley Tuesday for a doubleheader starting at 2 p.m.
