CSI Baseball wins 3 out of 4 over Salt Lake

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - After losing three at home early in the season to Salt Lake CC, the College of Southern Idaho baseball team exacted revenge this weekend beating the Bruins 7-1 on Friday and 5-4 and 8-6 on Saturday. The Golden Eagles lost 3-2 Friday in game two.
Keying the CSI offense was Ryan Cooperstone who went 9-for-15 at the plate. Michael Wesner drove in the majority of the CSI's runs, finishing 6-for-16 with three doubles and 6 RBI.
On the mound, Tyler Vavra  got the Eagles rolling in game one, picking up the win giving up just five hits and one run in 6.1 innings.
CSI improves to 24-19 overall and 13-14 in league play. The Golden Eagles are four games behind third-place Salt Lake in the standings.
CSI hosts league-leading Western Nevada Friday at 1 p.m. and Saturday at noon. Western Nevada is coming off a 4-game sweep of No. 2-ranked Southern Nevada.
