HENDERSON, Nev. - The College of Southern Idaho baseball team held leads in all four games against the No. 2 team in the country Friday and Saturday but couldn't hold on, losing all four and dropping to 21-18 overall and 10-13 in league play.
College of Southern Nevada beat CSI 2-1 and 8-2 on Friday and followed it with victories over the Golden Eagles 16-5 and 9-6 on Saturday.
Mike Renner again had an impressive outing on the mound for CSI, giving up just five hits in five innings but came out on the losing end 2-1 in game one.
On the weekend, Golden Eagle
Blake Lively battled at the plate, going .500 with six hits in 12 at bats.
Still the Eagles were out-hit .356 to .220 through the four games.
CSI travels to Salt Lake for doubleheaders Friday at 1 p.m. and Saturday at noon.
