TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho softball team beat North Idaho College 2-1 and 7-3 Friday in a Scenic West Athletic Conference doubleheader.

Kayla Powell knocked a pinch-hit single into right field in the bottom of the 7th to score
MeChel Hunt and give the Golden Eagles the 2-1 win in the opener.
Generra Nielson got the win in the circle for CSI, striking out 13 and giving up just one run on a homerun.
Marina Groenewegen finished the game 2 for 3 with a double and the other RBI for the Golden Eagles.
In the second game, CSI's
Brie Dimond battled back from a 3-0 deficit in the first inning to get the 7-3 victory in the circle. Dimond gave up just seven hits on the day.
The Golden Eagles had two errors and misplayed a few balls but came through at the plate to give Dimond all the cushion she would need the rest of the way.
Mikkel Griffin went 4-for-4 with two doubles, three RBIs and two runs scored for CSI.
CSI improves to 19-9 overall and 10-4 in SWAC play. North Idaho drops to 16-10 overall and 13-7 in league action.
