CSI women use 2nd-half surge to beat CNCC 77-43

TWIN FALLS, Idaho - Atfer a dismal first half, the College of Southern Idaho women's basketball team outscored Colorado Northwestern 53-18 in the second half to defeat the Spartans 77-43 Thursady in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
Keying the offensive charge was CSI's Shauneice Samms. In the second half, Samms scored 23 points, pulled down six rebounds and added three blocked shots and two steals.
Point guard Daidra Brown ended the game with 15 points, nine rebounds, five assists and five steals.
The win takes the Golden Eagles to 21-8 overall and 13-6 in league action.
CSI hosts College of Eastern Utah Saturday at 3 p.m. in its final regular season game of the year.
