ST. GEORGE, Utah - The 20th-ranked College of Southern Idaho softball team opened the Scenic West Athletic Conference 4-4, beating Colorado Northwestern CC in four games and falling to 13th-ranked Salt Lake CC in four games.
Three freshmen have been key for the Golden Eagles at the plate. Mikkel Griffin (.406), Marie Williams (.351) and Lyndi Miller (.308).
Generra Nielson leads CSI in the circle. She has posted 95 strikeouts already this season with a 1.75 era.
