EPHRAIM, Utah - The College of Southern Idaho men's basketball team held on to defeat Salt Lake CC 81-78 Friday in Bruin Arena, before traveling to Ephraim and falling to the Badgers 105-86 Saturday in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
Led by
Jerrold Brooks' 27 points, seven assists, seven rebounds and two steals, The Golden Eagles were able to weather a comeback by Salt Lake late in the game.
Darius Smith (nine points, six assists, nine rebounds, four steals),
Kenny Buckner (nine points, nine rebounds) and
Pierre Jackson (17 points, seven assists, four rebounds) also played well for CSI.
Against Snow, The Golden Eagles struggled to fine intensity early and never could rebound from their slow start.
The Badgers shot 67 percent from the field for the game and 93 percent from the free throw line.
Fabyon Harris came off the bench to hit four 3-pointers for the Golden Eagles, finishing with 15 points, three assists and three steals.
CSI improves to 13-2 overall on the year and 1-1 in SWAC play. The Golden Eagles host Idaho Select Thursday at 7 p.m.
