COEUR DALENE, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho volleyball team dominated Colorado Northwestern 25-10, 25-10, 25-10 Friday but fell to 17th-ranked Salt Lake in the semifinals 25-19, 22-25, 20-25, 25-15, 15-9 to end its hopes of defending its national championship.
The Golden Eagles had their chance against Salt Lake, taking a 2-1 game lead but couldn't get production they needed out of their big hitters to get it done. One bright spot was right side hitter
Alyssa Everett. She ended the match with 10 kills and four blocks.
The Golden Eagles ended the year 23-11 overall.
