TWIN FALLS - The College of Southern Idaho men's basketball team held off a late Casper surge to defeat Casper College 81-77 Saturday in the final day of the Gordon Paving/Gold's Gym Invite.
Jerrold Brooks knocked down five 3-pointers, a key one late, to lead the Golden Eagles with 24 points. Teammate Kenny Buckner played 38 minutes for CSI en route to a 12-point, 15-rebound performance.
Brooks earned tournament MVP honors, while Buckner was named to the all-tournament team. The third CSI player earning tournament honors was Pierre Jackson. He was joined by Westwind Prep's Kiwi Gardner, Central Florida's Slobedan Miljanic and Casper's Cameron Howard.
The Golden Eagles improve to 5-0 on the season.
