COEUR D'ALENE - The top two ranked teams in the nation squared off Saturday with the CSI volleyball team coming up short, losing 25-18, 25-22, 17-25, 25-22 to second-ranked North Idaho.
The Golden Eagles started the match slow and could never rebound, hitting a dismal .080 in the first game with just seven kills.
Elisa Brochado had a solid game for CSI, ending with a double-double - 12 kills and 15 digs.
The loss drops CSI to 16-3 overall. This match was the Golden Eagles first SWAC contest of the season.
CSI travels to Western Wyoming Tuesday before hosting Colorado NW on Thursday and Eastern Utah on Saturday.
