CSI goes 3-1 at Starr Corporation Invitational

TWIN FALLS - The College of Southern Idaho volleyball team finished the Starr Corporation Invitational with a 3-1 mark, defeating No. 2-ranked Blinn College, No. 6-ranked Salt Lake CC and No. 17-ranked Frank Phillips.
The Golden Eagles only loss came at the hands of No. 3-ranked North Idaho College.
No team finished the tournament unscathed. North Idaho lost to Salt Lake, Blinn lost to CSI and North Idaho and Salt Lake lost to Blinn and CSI. Frank Phillips ended the tournament with an 0-4 record.
CSI's Britani Hathorn and Torrey Hulsey were named to the all-tournament team for their play during the weekend. Hawthorn, the Golden Eagle's libero, ended the four matches with 46 digs and 2 aces. Hulsey dominated at the net, finishing with 24 blocks and 29 kills.
The Golden Eagles open Scenic West Athletic Conference action Saturday at North Idaho College.
