SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - Trailing 2 games to none and down 18-10 in the third, the Golden Eagles found a way to fight back and win games 3 and 4 before falling in the fifth to lose 25-18, 25-14, 22-25, 22-25, 15-11 to Salt Lake CC in the Region 18 Championship.
The win give the Bruins the 18a berth into the NJCAA National Tournament next week in Council Bluffs, Iowa. CSI now needs to beat Eastern Arizona College Tuesday at 7 p.m. to earn the 18b berth into the national tournament.

Torrey Hulsey and
Jessica Peacock ended the match against SLCC with solid numbers. The two combined for 38 kills and 10 blocks but it wasn't enough as the Bruin outside hitters dominated the match. Overall, SLCC outhit CSI .308 to .178 and outblocked CSI 13.5 to 9.5.
