TWIN FALLS - College of Southern Idaho freshman women's basketball player Daidra Brown finished Saturday's game against Northwest with 15 points, 10 assists, 10 steals and 7 rebounds to lead the Golden Eagles over the Trappers 87-58 in the Boise Office Equipment tournament.
Brown earned MVP honors for her play in the tournament.
Also key in CSI's win was Shauneice Samms (17 points, 5 rebounds), Laurel Kearsley (10 points, 6 rebounds) and Maddy Plunkett (19 points, 8 rebounds). All three earned all-tournament honors.
In the earlier tournament game, the Southern Idaho All Stars defeated Lethbridge College 98-74. Former CSI Golden Eagle Ashley Thompson scored 30 points to go with 10 rebounds for the all stars.
The Golden Eagles travel to CNCC Friday for a conference game. They won't play at home again until January 14, when they host CEU.
