TWIN FALLS - The College of Southern Idaho women's basketball team had no answer for third-ranked Salt Lake's Haley Holmstead Thursday, losing 80-62 in the Golden Eagles opening SWAC game of the year.
Holmstead was unstoppable, scoring 40 points on 12-of-19 shooting from the field and 15-of-16 free-throw shooting. She added 7 rebounds for the Bruins.
The only bright spot for the Golden Eagles was post
Laurel Kearsley who scored 11 points and pulled down 11 rebounds.
CSI moves to 3-3 on the year overall and 0-1 in SWAC play. The Golden Eagles host Snow College Saturday at 3 p.m.
