CSI women roll on opening day of Coke Tourney

TWIN FALLS - The College of Southern Idaho women's basketball team took care of business on Thursday, defeating Mesa CC 71-49 in the opening round of the Coca-Cola Invitational.
The Golden Eagles were led by freshman Daidra Brown. The CSI point guard scored 16 points and had 4 assists. Teammate Laurel Kearsley added 12 points and 11 rebounds.
CSI plays 4th-ranked Midland Friday at 6 p.m.
In other women's action Thursday in the Coke Tournament, Salt Lake CC defeated Midland 62-61 and No. 1-ranked Central Arizona dominated the Southern Idaho All-Stars 101-69.
