Golden Eagles stay focused and cruise past Snow in final weekend

TWIN FALLS - With just two regular SWAC matches left to play, the Golden Eagles made sure they took care of business Friday, defeating Snow College 25-15, 25-17, 25-21.
CSI's setter Barbara Alcantara finished with 35 assists and 10 digs to lead the Golden Eagles. Teammates Jessica Peacock and Elisa Brochado also contributed, combining for 22 kills, three aces and 15 digs.
CSI held Snow to a measley .088 hitting percentage with just 25 kills for the whole match.
The win takes CSI to 24-5 overall and 6-3 in league play. In other region play Friday, Salt Lake defeated North Idaho in four games to secure hosting rights for the Region 18 Tournament and the No. 1 seed.
The Golden Eagles host Salt Lake CC Saturday at 3 p.m. Anyone in costume can get in for $1.
