Cody DeMers

Cody DeMers begins his third season as the CSI rodeo assistant but is no stranger to the program.
DeMers, who rode saddle bronc and bareback at CSI in 2000 and 2001, won the all-around title both years at the CNFR. In 2001, DeMers was the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association Saddle Bronc Riding World Champion and was the reserve world champion in bareback twice.
"It is great to have Cody with the CSI Rodeo Program as a coach," said Birnie. "He had a lot of success here when he competed for CSI and I look forward to working with him and watching him succeed as our rough stock coach. His professional career has been exceptional as well. He has qualified for the National Finals Rodeo three times and is on track to qualify again this year. His experience and knowledge will definitely help our program and all of our kids."
Throughout DeMers career, he has won 10 PRCA (Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association) rodeos in saddle bronc riding and 52 PRCA rodeos in bareback riding. He also has won all-around titles at seven different professional rodeos. DeMers is a two-time Dodge Series bareback riding champion and has a PRCA career earnings of $834,018.
